I actually think it’s a tragedy for English literature that the inexorable march of time has erased all traces of the Lord of the Rings/Pride and Prejudice crossover fic that was written by the teenage Terry Pratchett.

He probably thought of five different ways they could have done it in the next 30 seconds

I wish we could see the missing scene of Ed and Stede coming up with the mechanics of the lighthouse fuckery! They were probably both so activated! So engaged! Bouncing ideas off one another! Ransacking the cabin for stuff they could use! It was probably everything Ed’s been missing.
